shortly after Ruby started school we received some very sad news, and in the weeks that followed the Lee and Hughes households pretty much became one as cancer became a part of ours lives.
We lost my lovely grandad Malcolm on the 2nd of October 2012 to secondary lung cancer. it was
extremely quick and very traumatic to see such a healthy, happy 70 year old man with so many plans before him disappear before our eyes.
My parents were fantastic moving my grandparent's into their house, helping with grandad's care and being a constant all hours support to my Nana.
Also meaning that the whole family could come and go and be there with grandad at all hours and on his last days.
Thank you mum and dad for being so selfless!
and grandad you are very missed.
I have sat at the computer many a time over the past months and tried to write a post...but every time i have drawn a blank.
i know life has its grey times and i want my blog to reflect real life not just sugar coat it, but in the same breath this isn't just about me and I hope you understand I have to respect my families privacy.
thank you for all your lovely messages about my blog, i'm sorry i disappeared for a while. i have lots of things to share with you all so more posts to follow soon!!!

Aw sad to read. Cancer is such an awful awful thing. We lost my nan in march due to secondary lung cancer which then went to her brain, still heartbroken. Xxxx
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your Grandad. I lost my Mom in 2011 to cancer so I know what you are your family are going through. It won't ever go away but it does get easier with time xx
