so many germs about!

sorry for the lack of posts this week. after the four of us just getting over horrible colds the lee house was hit by another concoction of germs, high temperatures, chesty coughs and an ear infection.

i have totally lost all concept of time having been stuck in for what seems like forever and actually can't believe its the 11th of feb already.

poor ruby had to have a week off school with an ear and chest infection...which i must add she was so distraught about, to the point that she went to school on the tuesday morning only for me to be called two hours later to collect her! bless her.
and just as she was perking up a bit and the antibiotics started to kick in my little munchkin  number two went down hill. and it continues.

ruby went back to school today but eliza-grace is still not right.....so I may be in the doctors again tomorrow.

i hate my little munchkin's being under the weather but it makes me feel very thankful that we are generally a very healthy bunch with only the normal winter bugs to worry about.
roll on warmer weather.

I hope you and all your little ones are all well, and have avoided all these germs that are about.

these girls

she loves to dress up,
she says her favourite colour is yellow,
she loves French bread,
and would eat chilli con carne every night of the week,
her favourite film at the moment is brave...she knows every word,
she loves to draw...and she is fab at it!!!
her imagination is out of this world,
she loves school,
she never seems to get cold,
she's a thinker,
and very caring,
she knows what she wants,
and she asks a lot of questions,
her eyes are the most beautiful colour green...people stop me in the street to look at them,
and her hair always looks wonderful,

she is my ruby and.....
she is getting so grown up!!

she is so affectionate
she absolutely adores her sister and will do anything to be like her,
she drinks squash like there is no tomorrow,
and loves broccoli,
she doesn't like the wind,
but thinks snow is amazing,
her hair is always a little messy,
she changes her shoes about 10 times a day,
she doesn't really want to go to nursery,
but she talks the talk,
she is very bright,
she is calm...but there is fire in there,
she is cheeky and uses it in her favour,
i think she could be a method actress,
she would give you her last rolo,
her giggle is super infectious,

she is my eliza-grace,
and she is beautiful!

growing up

in between holiday, birthdays, ballet rehearsals, and a so far rainy summer we have noticed how much our little munchkins are growing up.
pat and i sit for hours sometimes just talking about them both.
all their funny little quirks, the cracking one liners they come out with and most of all how much joy they bring to ours and our families lives.

at the moment we feel like we are coming to the end of a chapter, with ruby set to start school in september, and eliza-grace starting nursery.
we are not really sure how we got here so quickly!
it just all goes too fast and as much as we have really enjoyed and relished every day so far, we are a little sad! our babies are growing up.

luckily i know that the next steps will bring so much joy too, and we look forward to that.
ruby is so ready and excited for school, and eliza for nursery but i have to say i will miss having them with me all the time. what will i do with all those spare hours???!!

dear little munchkins,
mummy and daddy love you so very much,
you bring an un believable amount of joy to our lives.
we love watching you becoming lovely little people, but we have a little lump in our throat for every milestone you cross and every inch you grow.........because frankly it all goes so fast. and although we know that there is so much  more to come we would both freeze this moment in time because your just so scrumptious darlings.

so this little post is for your beautiful faces!

love mumma and daddy!

greece part 3

so this is the last of our holiday snaps...i promise!
thank you husband for a wonderful holiday, it's so precious to spend time together as a family. we loved every second.
i have such fond memories of our family holidays as a child and i think it's really important to do the same for our girls. making memories, eating nice food, soaking up the sun and enjoying each others company.
well greece yet again you didn't disappoint...until next year!!:)
