first day of school

we couldn't have been prouder of our little ruby lou today.
Her first day of school and she took it all in her stride. she was more excited than on christmas morning, myself on the other hand......a crying mess all day long!!!

everyone says to you when you have children 'enjoy it! it flys by and then it all changes when they go to school' ....well we did enjoy it almost every second of it and the last five years have definitely flown by. leaving us a little sad today....the end of a chapter.
i have no worries about ruby at school i know she will love it and will absolutely thrive, but i will miss her being with me everyday and all that goes with that.

anyway.....here's to a new chapter in our lives and ruby's little journey. her first day at school was a success she loved it, and can't wait to go back for a full week next week.

we love you to pieces ruby louise lee, we are so proud of you. you are a lovely girl and we are so excited for everything school will bring.

a quick hello from our new home

six 10 litre pots of white paint later, the whole of the upstairs re-carpeted, and new wood floor complete down stairs. it really was a  massive push at the start of this move with lots of long days and late nights trying to get this place habitable before we moved in. thank you to everyone that helped and to my brother tom for aiding me in my quest to eradicate the mismatch of lilac, yellow and terracotta walls for a bright, and clean white haven.

we are getting through the boxes slowly and finding new homes for things, but i have to admit i have run out of steam lately....this moving lark is knackering! oh and i forgot to make things all the more stressful....this happened on our third night in.......
....poor pat broke his ankle whilst playing with the munchkins in the garden!
i say poor pat...i wasn't actually the kindest wife when this happened, in fact i was actually quite angry at him.
bad i know!
maybe it was the stress of all we had left to do or the fact we hadn't slept properly in days...or maybe because i told him to stop racing around the garden because he was going to BRAKE SOMETHING!!
or maybe just the fact that i am a bit hot headed sometimes.
anyway narrowly missing an op he is on the mend, and we're getting used to a one legged daddy. I am also realising how much he normally does for us all.
you are a good husband mr lee, thanks for putting up with me.

happy monday all....look after those bones! he he
