over the weekend

over the weekend we hid from the rain,
made a cardboard laboratory...{ruby discovered dexters lab on holiday and ever since has been obsessed...she wants to be an inventor at the moment!}
stayed up late,
made the man cook pasta,
then enjoyed eating it....{eliza-grace}, why does it always taste better when someone else cooks?
watched despicable me with the small ones...i do love that film, little yellow miniyons are the best!
had an afternoon nap,
didn't clean at all, and made a lot of mess...oh well that will keep for another day i'm sure!

and then most exciting of all.... on sunday evening we got out of our pj's and put our glad rags on and headed to the marlowe theatre in canterbury. where we watched our little ruby dance around the stage as a pumpkin in the dance warehouse production of the glass slipper.

it was amazing, pat and i were a wreck with nerves, but ruby was desperate to get on  stage.

we couldn't have been more proud....ruby you were of course absolutely fabulous!

and thank you auntie charlotte for looking after miss e-grace who was very disappointed to be staying at home. you cheered her up and made her evening. she loved having you to herself!

i hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Over the weekend

Summer sunshine....where have you disappeared to???

I hope you all had a lovely weekend?!!

We spent most on the weekend a home being slobby! Husband worked on Saturday...love him.....whilst the girls and I lounged about with my mum watching films and eating yummy food and chocolate. Eliza-Grace and i managed to sneak in a lovely snuggle and a nap half way through the smurf movie...which was just gorgeous. I love snuggling with my girls!

Saturday evening we spent some time with Nanny and Grandad {Pat's parents} eating Chinese, searching the net for our summer holiday, watching episode after episode of Worzal Gummidge, listening to nanny{Jo} singing constantly to the children...much to Pat's annoyance and having a real good giggle with grandad{Dave} He has a wicked sense of humour.

On Sunday we let daddy lay in, built a camp in the living room, finally booked our holiday...after hours of searching/researching ......{YAY two week count down!}....and the munchkins helped daddy do a spot of gardening in their pj's and tu tu's{love them}. whilst i excitedly started organising holiday clothes and writing endless lists {i do LOVE lists}.

Oh and i almost forgot lady and the tramp ........we have missed you, what a classic....an oldie but a goody that has now returned to our film collection!!

So all in all we had a great weekend...but how could you not with those little munchkins to keep you entertained!! Love you precious girls...and family. x
